At Swinney Wood Log Cabins, we are proud to support ‘Our Dementia Choir’, an inspiring group that underscores the therapeutic power of music for those living with dementia.

The choir, highlighted in a BBC1 documentary led by actress Vicky McClure, showcases the remarkable impact that singing can have on the lives of individuals with dementia. Born from a deeply personal journey, the choir members, under the guidance of musical experts, have proven the joy and achievements still possible despite the challenges of dementia.

Their performances, including a memorable one to 24,000 people at the Splendour Festival, and sell-out Christmas shows, have not only captured hearts across the UK but also reached international audiences.

‘Our Dementia Choir Sings Again’, their latest series, continues to inspire global viewers. We celebrate their ability to evoke a spectrum of emotions, from joy to amazement, reminding us all of the enduring spirit found in music and community.
