Each of our four log cabins at Swinney Wood is designed to sleep just two adults, offering peace and tranquillity for couples seeking a luxurious and indulgent romantic escape. While all cabins feature the same high-quality specifications, they each possess a unique character and charm:

  • SEREIN: Countryside view, spindle balcony, tin bath, Chesterfield sofa, additional lower decking.
  • PETRICHOR: Treetop view, spindle balcony, tin bath, chaise sofa.
  • APRICITY: Woodland/countryside view, glass balcony, copper bath, chaise sofa. Steps lead down to the entrance.
  • KOMOREBI: Woodland view, glass balcony, copper bath, chaise sofa.

Each log cabin offers an idyllic experience, nestled in a special location within the woodland, ensuring guests can enjoy both privacy and the natural beauty that surrounds them.

Approximately 7 days prior to your arrival, you will receive an email containing a unique key code to access your log cabin. Please do not attempt to gain access before your allocated arrival time.

Each log cabin is provided with its own designated carport situated nearby for your convenience, ensuring a dedicated parking space for one car per log cabin.

While we don’t currently offer dedicated fast charging points on-site, we’re pleased to provide an extension cable with a standard 3-pin plug for your electric vehicle.

At Swinney Wood Log Cabins, we prioritise the maintenance and cleanliness of our hot tubs to ensure our guests have a safe and enjoyable experience. With every changeover, we diligently:

  • Empty the hot tubs
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitise them
  • Refill with fresh water
  • Replace the filters to ensure optimal performance

To maintain the highest water quality, we add bromine, alkalinity increaser, and pH increaser. Our dedicated team discreetly checks the hot tub water every morning between 5:30 am and 7:30 am, ensuring minimal disturbance to our guests. We adjust the chemical levels as necessary, upholding our commitment to providing a comfortable and relaxing environment.

While we always strive to have the hot tubs at a welcoming temperature of 37 degrees for your arrival, please be aware that, on rare occasions and due to unforeseen circumstances, there might be times when the hot tub isn’t immediately ready. Your understanding in such situations is greatly appreciated.

Rest assured, our meticulous attention to detail and stringent practices ensure that your hot tub experience at Swinney Wood Log Cabins will be both safe and delightful.

Wi-Fi is available, unlimited, and complimentary for all guests. You can find the password within your log cabin. Please note that while we strive to provide a consistent service, we cannot guarantee the level of service, availability, quality, or bandwidth.

Swinney Wood Log Cabins were required to maintain a small footprint due to regulations aimed at minimising the number of trees removed during construction.

This, unfortunately, resulted in a design that may not accommodate guests with restricted mobility. Each log cabin has a staircase leading to the mezzanine floor, and Apricity log cabin also has external steps leading to the front door.

We understand the importance of accessibility, but our design options were limited by these regulations to protect the surrounding environment.

We understand that many guests would love to bring their pets along; however, pets are not permitted at Swinney Wood Log Cabins for a couple of important reasons.

Firstly, the surrounding woodland is home to a diverse range of wildlife, and we want to protect their natural habitat. Certain log cabins also have direct access to the woods, making this policy even more crucial.

Secondly, our log cabins are designed with an emphasis on creating an exceptionally luxurious and romantic atmosphere for couples, ensuring a serene and tranquil environment for all guests.

We appreciate your understanding and hope that you will still enjoy your stay at our beautiful, pet-free log cabins.

Swinney Wood Log Cabins are designed exclusively for adults. We regret that we cannot accommodate individuals under the age of 18, including babies in arms.

Unfortunately, due to insurance regulations, we are unable to allow visitors at Swinney Wood Log Cabins during your stay.

Unfortunately, barbecues are strictly prohibited at Swinney Wood Log Cabins due to the woodland location and the associated safety concerns.

Upon arrival, you will find a complimentary basket of logs in your log cabin. 

If you require additional logs, a log store is located at the back of your carport; except for Apricity, where it is situated by the entrance to the log cabin. 

Sacks of logs are available at £5 per sack, and each includes two firelighters. We kindly ask guests to deposit the cash payment in the honesty box located within the log store.

Smoking, including the use of cigarettes, cigars, pipes, and vaping devices, is strictly prohibited both inside and around the log cabins. This policy is particularly important due to the woodland location, which presents a fire hazard. If you wish to smoke or vape, please use the designated smoking area located in your carport and make use of the cigarette bin provided.

We kindly ask that you schedule the delivery for after your arrival time, as we cannot guarantee a member of staff will be on-site to receive it.

To fully appreciate the stunning scenery surrounding Swinney Wood Log Cabins, we recommend that guests use a car to travel to nearby walking and cycling trails. This is because the immediate vicinity lacks paved roads and paths, and traveling by car will allow you to enjoy your walk or ride without the inconvenience of navigating difficult terrain.

Terms & Conditions

If your scheduled arrival date is more than six weeks away, we can accommodate a change in your booking dates, subject to availability. For such amendments, there will be a £35 administration fee, and any difference in price between your original and new dates will be adjusted on your balance.

Please note that we are unable to facilitate booking amendments within six weeks of your scheduled arrival date.

For bookings made more than six weeks before your arrival date, a deposit equal to 25% of the total holiday cost is required, along with the premium for optional Cancellation Protection.

For bookings made within six weeks of your arrival date, the entire balance is due immediately.

If you choose not to opt for Cancellation Protection, please specify this when making your booking.

After paying the initial deposit, you have the flexibility to make part payments of any amount using the payment link provided in your email booking confirmation. It’s essential to ensure that the total balance is settled six weeks before your arrival.
